2007 - 2011

'LIFE'S A BEACH' (2008) 

The story of three generations of women running a local guest - house with a bunch of regulars and a hostile takeover bid from the Russian Mafia. This play was described as having 'Charm and wit' by the Guardian critic, Michael Billington.  

 

'PULL FOR THE SHORE' (2009)

A musical set in Scarborough with a complex storyline involving a chip shop owners' relationship with his daughter, his estranged wife and the ghost of a lifeboat man from 1861.

 

'THE LITERARY LIFE FOR ME' (2009)

A show, which covers the entire history of Literature from Stone Age to Space Age in 45 minutes. Part of the Scarborough Literature Festival 2009.

 

'LADY LUCKY BAG' (2010) 

An evening of five plays by local women writers, shown as part of 'The Long Week-End':  The Scarborough Literature Festival 2010.

LOVE, WHEN IT'S BRASS (2011)

Written by Alison Watt and commissioned for the arts festival 'Coastival 2'. Performed in three different venues/locations across Scarborough. Part One was performed at The Stephen Joseph Theatre, Part Two in the underground car park at The Palm Court Hotel and Part Three was performed in the Scarborough Town Hall Gardens.

LIFE SONGS (2011)

A production which celebrated the music of John Pattison, our resident composer and musical director. An ensemble of four singers and four musicians presented music and lyrics from a songwriting career that spans over three decades.

STALKED BY FLOWERS (2011)

A comedy thriller with specially filmed movie sections, which were projected with images 20 metres wide onto the walls of Scarborough Library. Part of 'Coastival: Rather Splendid Day Out'.
